rent a truck, rushed to cosworth (racing engine builders) in torrance　who are moving out from the building and letting go of lots of good stuff, picked up some neat workbenches etc. that shinya had his eye on.

トラックを借り、レーシング・エンジン屋コスワースへ急ぐ。コスワースはトーランスの大きな場所から移転するらしく、様々なツールや備品を放出していて、先々週から目を付けていたものを譲ってもらえることになり引き取りに。作業台など。

torrance and gardena have huge japanese community and there are lots of good japanese restaurants.  since we were there, were certainly looking forward to having some authentic japanesse...but somehow we got lost and ended up in boyle heights...and here it was, otomisan!

トーランス、ガーデナには大きな日系コミュニティーがあって、ちゃんとした日本食を食べられる場所がいくらでもある。せっかく来ているのだからとかなり前のめってしまうアズサの住民。試してみたかった最近出来た新しい食堂を探している内に、東ロサンジェルスのボイル・ハイツにたどり着く。これはかなり日本食から遠ざかった、が、お腹が空きすぎてもうなんでもいいや！と思った矢先にお富さん。

otomisan since 1950's! surprisingly it was run and serve by japanese people. had a nostalgic warmth and taste. definitely will come back.

創業1950年代。まさかの経営も調理も日本の方がやっている。生き返ったぜ、お富さん。ちなみに日本人のお客は私達だけだった。

木村氏はバルブ・ラッピング・マシンを。これもコスワースで誰かが作ったものみたい。とても縁起がよろしい。
