朝。明日のOG Moto ShowのためにLAダウンタウンにあるコンテイナー・ヤードというギャラリースペースに「パンテーラ・ヴェルデ」を運び込んだ。すでに色んなユニークなカスタム・モーターサイクルが搬入されている。

at night. came back to downtown LA for preparty at Container Yard. i took my XT and shinya took his Superhawk.

夜。会場でプリパーティがあるというので再びXTとスーパーホークでダウンタウンに。

この方を忘れてはいけません。変の態界の大御所、Aサオ氏がチャボに到着するや否や見つけたのは木村氏が最近入手したトライアンフ。

and then he recognized the presence of the CB450.

最近12番から引っ張り出してきたCB450にも勘付くAサオ氏、さすが。

well, today he came to pick up shinya's R100RS. it was too big for shinya and it suits better for taller A-san so shinya has decided to leave it to A-san.

本日は木村氏のベーエムヴェーをピックアップしにいらしたAサオ氏。やはりどうしても木村氏には大きすぎたR100RS。 背が高くて足の長いAサオ氏だと、センタースタンド立てたままでもこの通り、足ベタちゃん。しかもAサオ氏の元に行くなら安心、ということでドナドナ成立。

A-san rode his Honda VF500F here and is going to leave it at Chabott until he makes some more space in his garage :p

しかしオートバイを引き取りに愛車のVF500で来るところが変の態の大御所ですなあ。どんどん増えていくAサオ氏のオートバイ・・・ガレージに場所を作るまではVFはチャボでお預かりすることに。

やはりサイズがぴったりでカッコイイ。Aサオ氏、赤鼻ちゃんを楽しんでくださいませ！木村氏はもう一回り小さいベーエムヴェーを探すそうです。

jazz manouche kinda night...

came to our friend's house party in Lakewood and Long Beach based gypsy jazz band Hedgehog Swing was jamming in his garage (he calls it "studio").

友達H（ロングビーチに住んでいるのにアズサで働くフランス人のパン屋さん）のハウス・パーリーに呼んでもらった。着いたらジプシー・ジャズのバンドHedgehog SwingがHのガレージ（スタジオと呼べとうるさい）でジャム中。いい感じ。

the wooden deck, freshly made by our friend H, became an instant stage.

友達Hが最近慌てて作ったというウッド・デッキを即席ステージにして演奏が始まった。フランス人のハウス・パーリーはやはり洒落ている。

these guys are amazing. they are just 21, 22 years old but they play pretty deep.

このバンドいい！彼らはまだ21とか22とかだけど、ジプシー・ジャズというシブい選択。

shinya was fascinated by a person who first invented a clarinet...he always observe things from a mechanical viewpoint.

最初にクラリネットを発明した人って凄い、と興味をかき立てられる木村氏。やはりそっちに目が向きますな。

artist Ken (Fusty Works from Tokyo) who did this rad art work for Brat Style stopped by. he does all cool projects with many others including this year's TROG (The Race of Gentlemen) plaque. after TROG in the East Coast, Go Takamine & Masumi of Brat Style brought him to our workshop.

来ました、アーティスト・ファスティ。こちらのブラット・スタイルのバンダナも彼の作品だし、今年の東海岸での浜レース(The Race of Gentlemen)のプラークを描いた人でもあります。とにかく木村氏も筆者もイカしてるのにじわっとくる彼の作品のワンフーでございます。浜レースを終えて西に戻って来たブラットのGTカミネ氏とMスミ嬢がそんな多忙なファスティ先生をチャボに連れてきてくれました。あーありがたや。

and of course we went for a canyon ride. took GRR all the way to Mt.Baldy.

チャボのおもてなしと言えば山（しかない）。本日は山脈コース（通称幻のターチーロード）で山々を超えてマウント・バルディまで。
