giving a TLC to our van to prepare for a road trip.
明日、少々長い距離を走る予定なので久々にチャボバンに愛を注ぐ。
i, as a van driver, have reported to shinya and Wata (Taka) that there was some strange noise coming from under the driver's seat and Wata suggested shinya to replace the front wheel bearings. チャボバン専属ドライバーである筆者は近ごろ運転席の下からシャンシャンシャンという聞き慣れない音がしているということを報告。すると（勝手に）チャボバン専属メカ（にされている）のWタナベ氏からウィール・ベアリングを換えた方が良いとのご提案。
Wata (Taka) ended up replacing them + brake pads with a little bit of help from shinya 😊
had to pick up some parts from a person located in a desert area so we decided to take our small bikes with us and ride in the nature but ended up digging holes in the sandy wash to rescue our van before we unload the bikes 😭
back up a little bit. dig. put some rocks. and repeat. at one point we almost gave up but we kept on and finally got out from THIS bed of quick sand but there were another one or two ahead of us. so we just careened through and somehow made it to the hard surface area. strangely enough, it was fun after all😸 then, we enjoyed a gorgeous trail ride in the sand afterwards.
got to Ely, Nevada and decided to stay over night here. 208 miles short of salt flats. Wata has some more things to do on the 240Z so we all helped at a motel parking lot.
didn't have time to put competition number on the left side so shinya rose up to work on it using a vinyl tape that he got at 99¢ store right behind the motel :D
10 PM in Azusa. we were planning to leave in 5 hours. Wata still needed to work on the Z240 but we decided to try to load it on the trailer just to see if there were any problems. 午後10時アズサ。あと5時間ほどで出発予定なのにWタナベ氏はまだまだやることがあるらしい。でも、とりあえず一度Zをトレイラーに載せてみることに。まさか載らないなんてことがないとも限らないので。
as was expected, we had hard time to figure out the best way to load the Z.
案の定、割と悪戦苦闘する。やってみてよかった。
i think we are OK now.
なんとか大丈夫そう。

チャボではマスィンの最終点検中。
and finished up loading. shinya's going to take a nap. そしてチャボバンにすべてを積み終える。木村氏はしばし仮眠を取るらしい。

at 3:30 AM in Azusa. finally we were ready to leave.
don't forget. before Bonneville, there is a July meet at El Mirage this weekend. shinya is still thinking if he wants to keep the way it is and try one more time at El Mirage or change some and start preparing for SpeedWeek.
