oh, no. when shinya has a tape measure in his hand and is walking around the workshop, it will begin. the major workshop rearrangement. last year around this time, he injured his finger and couldn't move a thing. so this year, his suppressed emotion and ideas will burst out for sure. i'm in trepidation😱

この時期に木村氏がメジャーで工場内を歩き回り、いろいろ測り始めることの恐ろしさを皆さんご存知ですか？昨年は幸いにもご本人が12月に指を負傷し、泣く泣く諦めた年末恒例のアレ。あの魔の大模様替え大会が始まろうとしているのです。恐🌠怖。ガクブル。いや、まだ11月だし、気のせいかな。うん、きっと気のせい。

おっと！今年は木工が苦手な木村氏、新たな新兵器「ちゃんとした棚」を導入。学びましたな。

なんと「ちゃんとした棚」はもうひとつあるらしい。

something is happening up there all of a sudden (as usual).

いつものことですが、かなり大掛かりな作業が上の方で突然始まりました。

shinya said suddenly he couldn't stand looking at those tyres stacking untidy and decided to make a tyre rack. now i see.

上にタイヤが無造作に積んであるのが急に気になってタイヤラックを作らずにはいられなくなってしまったそうなんですが、急にも程がある！

feel great now :)

DIY fever...

何だかスモーク焚いちゃって、ムーディだけど撮影か何かかな？

nah. shinya being just lazy keeping metal cutting blade on the circular saw to cut wood :P

いえいえ、木を切るのに丸ノコの歯をメタル用から木工用に替えるのが面倒だっただけみたいです。モックモク。

それより、また何か作り始めてますよ。

then installing a small pulley to the ceiling.

天井に小さい滑車を取り付けています。
 

i see. a ladder for easy access to the overhead storage area but it stays in the air when we are not using it.

上の物置コーナーに簡単にアクセスできるように専用梯子、しかも空中収納だから使わない時も邪魔にならない！

now even i can access to the overhead storage and take some pictures from up here!

かなり物を取るのが億劫だったここのエリアも梯子を常備することで使いやすく。このようにここから写真を撮ることも可能に。あーもうチャボはどこまで使い易くなっちゃうのでしょう！

空中茶室ギリギリ完成！スゴイ！

it has been said for some time that blogging is dead but i hope some people are still checking and peeping a tip of shinya's daily life here. if you are reading this, thank you. thank you for your time and continuous support. our old friends and new friends, thank you for everything you've done for us this year! we wish everyone a happy new year!!

ブログなんてやっている人もういないよ、と言われてから久しいですがまだやっています。きっとほんの少しでも見てくれている方がいると信じて。木村氏の日々の一部を覗いてほくそ笑んでいる方がいると信じて。今これを読んでくださっている方、ありがとうございます。そして、今年も一年間たくさんの皆さまにお世話になりました。皆さまのお陰で楽しく過ごせたこと、幸せに思います。来年もよろしくお願い致します。それでは、良いお年を！

oh, i know how he feels. it's not done yet and he has a lot of work left but he wants to decorate the new space first :p

まだ終わってないしやること山ほど残っているけど装飾品を先に飾りたくなる気持ち、分かる！

however, our ultimate goal is to finish this workshop conversion project before the 2015 is out, so we don't have much time left.

とは言え、今年中にこの空中茶室を完成させるためにはもう時間がない！急げ～

本日も朝からバリバリ働きます。

the last visitor of the year was our friend from Japan. he's a young successful entrepreneur but we call him "school principle".

今年最後のゲストは校長先生（と勝手に呼んでいますが実際はサクセスフルな若き実業家）。お二人して同じポージィング。

the night shift begins. at this moment, it looked like shinya just extended the mezzanine but there is a very unique plan waiting...

夜の部。この時点ではただ2階を伸ばしただけのように見えるので、なぜ空中茶室なのか分かりかねますが・・・

ha! now i understand. he wanted to suspend it from a ceiling beam. 

あ！本当は上から吊るす式なんだ！なるほど、これぞ空中茶室ですなあ。張り切りすぎて髪の毛爆発しておりますが。

end of the year workshop conversion...

 oh boy...

こ、これは・・・

this is becoming annual event for shinya. end of the year (or beginning of the year) dramatic workshop rearrangement or conversion is happening right now. DIY

今やチャボの恒例行事と言っても過言ではない。年末（または年始）の大規模な模様替えまたは改装工事。もちろんプロの手も人の手さえも借りない（筆者の手はカウントせず）、完全に自分でやるスタイル。

this year's theme is "tea room in the air". shinya said he was planning this almost 2 months, in his head.

今年のテーマは空中茶室らしい。脳内構想2ヶ月だと言う。木村氏の脳内は見えないので、何をどのようにして作るのか本人以外は皆目検討もつかない。

hmmm...tea room in the air... is this it? hope not!

まさか、これじゃないよね、空中茶室って？
