barter agreement...

in this neighborhood, shinya is called aluminum master. our neighbors carry in any troubled aluminum from small piece of hinges, bicycle frame, screen door to land rover fender like this one...shinya takes them as much as time allows. it seems like a part of his hobby now :D


in return, they're gonna fix the dent on our van plus they gave us a unique bottle of tequila! sometimes they give us fruits, sometimes fish and giant clams. they're willing to help us move heavy machinery and receive packages for us when we're away. we enjoy this wonderful way of life and our neighbors.  :)

Ah, one of the things that I miss about living in a neighborhood. It was almost like having an extended family. Now I live in the middle of nowhere. It's more like homesteading. :)
