canyon ride with Daisuke Mukasa of Animal Boat in Tokyo and his friends.　we do ride together whenever Mukasa-san is here for ARHMA race.

ほぼ毎年恒例のアニボーライド、またはカリーライド。東京のアニマルボートのMカサパイセンとそのお仲間達と浮谷東次郎コース。

just because...

same o' same o' 😺 dry lake with the squad.  just because it's fun, we've been trail riding and practicing flat track in the desert with Kiyo and Kat. there's no particular reason but we feel like we are teens again.

またまたいつもの変の態メンバーでドライレークでコソ練。何にコソコソしているのかも分からないし、特に何の意味もない。ただ楽しいからっていう小学生の時に友達と遊んでいるような感覚で、お弁当持ってせっせと砂漠に通う熟年ピーポー。意味もなく楽しいこと、オトナになるとやらなくなっちゃうのはなぜかしら？　やってるけど

月曜山乗りクラブの部長のB級グルメ王がRD250改350で誘いにやって来た。

with our accomplices Kiyo and Kat. just spent the whole day in the dirt.

コソ練仲間のKヨナガズと、日がな一日ひたすら乗りまくる。意味などない。

were extremely satisfied.

満足、満足。

ホーニングが終わったかと思いきや、突然XL125のタイヤ交換を始める真夜中。

for shinya there is no boundary between work and hobby.

ほんと、趣味と仕事の境目が曖昧・・・ていうか、ない。

back to the canyon with Kiyo and Kat 😻 this time we took a different and longer route.

この前のクリスタル茶屋までのライドが楽しすぎたので、Kヨ氏とKットさんにどうしても別ルートも見せたくなって誘惑してみたら、まんまと誘惑に乗ってきた二人😻 うしし

山をいくつか越えてバルディ山のロッジまで。

and of course, we had a super fun ride again. riding in the empty canyon on weekdays is almost like a guilty pleasure. so shinya told Kiyo in advance "as a mechanic or a motorbike builder or whatever you call it, as long as you are involved in the motorcycle business, riding and having fun with the motorcycles are part of our job. so don't worry, be happy!" 

SR500、アエルマッキ350スプリント、CL450、CL77。本日も雑多なラインナップ。このコースは500ccまでのオートバイで行くのが最高に楽しいかも。そして、予感はしていたけどやっぱり最高のライドとなった。平日に誰もいない山で山乗りを楽しんでいるとなぜだか後ろめたい気持ちになっちゃうんだけど・・・「バイク屋さんがオートバイに乗って楽しむのは遊びじゃないのよ立派な仕事」そう木村パイセンが言っているので、「これは仕事、立派な仕事」とみんなで呪文のように唱えながら、また行こう！今日もいい仕事したわー💦

XR185/200をラッキーカムカム号と名付けた。練習よりも運に頼る方式。そしてそれをタンクに描かずにはいられなかったので描いた 👅

orange is the new black...

flat track monday. shinya is going to make a hot shoe for my new boot and install the more flat fuel tank on my XR185/200. 

筆者の新しいブーツ用にホットシューを作ってくれる木村氏。ついでにXRのタンクももう少し低めのやつにしてくれるらしい。下手っぴなのに注文が多いと文句を言いながら。

おお、カッコイイではないか ✌ 実はこのタンク、もともとトライアンフ・ビワ号についていたものを使い回しております・・・

it just happened to be this way because shinya made these two motorbikes mainly out of things we had at our workshop but it looks like my favorite color is orange now 😺 very eco-friendly indeed.

両車両ともチャボに転がっているものをかき集めて作ってくれたのだけど、いつの間にかオレンジ色が大好きな人っぽくなっている。とても環境にやさしい再利用大作戦なわけで、決してド・ケチなわけじゃないと信じて疑わない。うん、ぜんぜん疑っていない。

heart to heart ride...

a canyon ride with Kiyo and Kat. every ride is precious but this one was very special for us for many reasons.

Kiyo's GarageのKヨ氏とKットさんと初の山ライド。仲間とオートバイに乗れるというのはいつだって貴重な時間。でも様々な理由から、今日のは我々にとってはすごくスペシャル。

one of the big reasons was because this was our long-cherished wish. shinya, Kiyo and I have been talking about going for a canyon ride more than 10 years, long before Kiyo got married to Kat, but for some reasons, it never happened. and now with Kat, we are riding in the canyon all together!

大きな理由のひとつは、Kヨ氏と会う度に話していた一緒に山に乗りに行こうという計画が、10年近くなんだかんだで実現せず、本日やっと願いが叶ったという特別感。その10年の間に独身貴族だったKヨ氏はKットさんと出会い、まさかの夢の2x2（にーにー）でツーリングというミラコー感。その他もろもろ、人生いろいろ、とにかく感激のライドなのであります。
