the truly manly man with heart...

 by the hands of friends, this hand written message from N-san, the leader of "support the underground" team in tokyo and all over japan, is finally in shinya's hand here in azusa! 

those people in SxTxU are continuously supporting the devastated areas since right after the disaster. first, they delivered relief goods, food, water, even gasoline to save people's lives and now they do everything from removing debris, having onsite music events, supporting individual families to raising funds and more. 

i hate to say this but it seems like those disasters are keep coming here and there. IT happened in japan about 6 months ago and many people are still suffering, at the same time, it is becoming　an "event of the past" and another disasters are creating more victims in the world. we hope that one day it really becomes an "event of the past" for all those victims...

shinya made this as one of the raffle prizes to support Rina Valentina in los angeles who set up the project to raise money to support our friends in Japan (who have been delivering the relief supplies to the evacuees and sufferers in northern Japan). with every $10 donation, you will be entered in a drawing to win prizes. prizes are from artists, musicians, designers, photographers, and many more who donated their talents to help raise money. all the donation will go straight to our friends, NFK and Phantom crews. please check their site.

NFK crews and Phantom crews are back from Kesennuma and other devastated areas to deliver 4,000 liters of gasoline, water, food, underwear, shoes, etc. they go out there and talk to the evacuees directly so they know what people really need there. donations from all over the world make them keep running and help many people as possible. easier said than done. they are actually doing something amazing and work so hard to rebuild their own country. our country. shinya's and my hats off to them.

NFK部隊、Phantom部隊の皆さんが気仙沼や石巻などまだまだ水も物資も足りない地域から無事に任務を遂行されてもどってきた。沢山の気持ちを背負って、ハードスケジュールを黙々とこなしている姿は真剣だ。言うのは簡単だけど、本当に動くことは難しい。普段はちょっと強面な面々がそれぞれの”人間性”を元に集めた”信頼”が物資に変って現地に届く。私達は一生彼らに頭が上がらないな。ありがとう、これからも日本をよろしくお願いします。ずっと応援していきます。

"some people have contacted us or suggested us to set up the fund for earthquake tsunami victims or sell something and donate all of the proceeds to relief effort, etc.  thank you for your suggestions and ideas.  at this moment, we are trying to do whatever we can in our own small way and support our trusted friends who are actually taking action in Japan as best we can.  we think the relief effort will take months and it requires years and years for recovery.  this is going to be a long term ordeal for Japan.  we must be flexible and be ready to take action if necessary.  however, what we think we need to do now are: ①do our best not forget about it, ②keep doing whatever we can to support our country even when the next news make headlines, ③and work hard on our own ground, on something what we are already good at. for me, to keep making things by my own hands, that is. ④pray for Japan. these are what i can/should/want to do for now.  thank you." -shinya kimura

FACT...

update: our friends in Tokyo and all over Japan were raising money and collecting relief supplies and small toys for children to deliver them directly to the most urgently needed and isolated devastated areas　by themselves because of serious shortage in both supply and government support.  now gasoline and kerocene are very difficult to get on site and even in Tokyo.  so, many of our friends in Aichi(central Japan), gathered vanful of fuel and supplies and drove 4.5 hours east to Tokyo.  from Tokyo, 3 vans went up north to Sendai(it takes normally 5 hours but now? i don't know how long it takes) and then from Sendai they went further north to Kesennuma to deliver supplies there.  as soon as they come back to Tokyo they are going to refill the vans and 5 vans go shuttle. we just got a call from our friend Ash in Tokyo that he said he was about to leave to Sendai for a second round. lots of gruesome wrongs are going on on the way that are unreported in the news. heartbreaking. please wish them luck and continue to pray for sufferers.

支援物資の運搬が着々と進んでいるようです。奇麗ごとばかりじゃない現実。先ほどBDのあっちゃんから連絡があり、今から第二陣で仙台に向かうそうです。決死の覚悟で物資を被災地に届けてくれているみんなに感謝。これは一時の感情で思い立っただけでは出来ないことだと思います。きちんと組織立てて 協力し合って黙々と物資を運び続けてくれている実行隊のみんな、そして仕分けや物資調達をしてくれているみんな、ありがとう。みんなの安全を祈っています。それぞれが出来ることを思い切りやろう。もしも仕事を続けられる環境にある人達は落ち着いて一生懸命働いて、日本のためにお金を使おう！被災地の皆さんは助けが必ずくるから待っていてください。O内さん、BD店主さんをはじめとする茨城のみんな、応援してるよ！

これは 一回きりじゃないよ、継続していくよ。だから一度に無理しないで、それぞれのやり方でそれぞれの出来る範囲で協力しようぜい。

引き続き成田さん達の物資運搬に協力できる方は、色々な方々が動いていますから連絡を取ってみてくださいね。あんまり先走ると迷惑にもなりかねないので、現地の方が何を必要としているのか、成田さん達にどんな協力が必要なのか、落ち着いて相談してみるのがいいんじゃないかな。
