today we decided to just relax, reading books and old magazines at the workshop. shinya found this harley davidson ad in a 80s magazine lost in translation. the japanese word they used here is not "welcome". it's more like an authoritative "come in" in tone of command. :D

本日はのんびり読書day。前にスワップミートで見つけた70年代雑誌の中に紛れ込んでいたエイティーズの雑誌の山を引っ張り出してマジ読みを始める木村氏。で、変なハーリー・デーヴィットソンの広告を見つけた。ウェルカムのつもりが、「お入り」。　ジョン（犬）、お入り！的な。やっぱりさすがは天下のハーリー・デーヴィットソンざんすな。

all in all, we wanted to go for a ride. it was about 5 minutes to midnight and freezing cold. so we rode double on the SR500. was pretty dark but fun.

でもやっぱり山に行きたくなって、行く。って、夜中の12時だったけど。で、かなり寒かったので2ケツ。真っ暗だったけど楽しかった。もう病気。

we're thankful for every ride :)

本日こちらは感謝祭ですが、今日に限らず日々山とオートバイに乗れることに感謝。

 

heated steel tubes...

shinya is making the handlebars for the knuckle. it's only provisional for a fitting session with the owner next week but shinya wanted to make the ideal ones.

ナッコーのハンドルバー制作中。来週オーナーが跨ってポジション決めをするので仮ではありますが、ちゃんとニュアンスが伝わるよう真剣に作ります。

foresee the ride...

shinya didn't like the feel of the bmw front forks so he decided to rebuild them.

なんだかちょっとベーエムヴェーのフロント・フォークのフィーリングが気に入らず、リビルトすることに。

use this opportunity to re-polish the front fender　;p

ついでにフロント・フェンダーをもう一回バフ掛け。
