the piles of purifying salt called "mori shio" near the entrance is a japanese traditional habit especially for businesses for good luck. probably is from shinto or feng shui or whatever. for us, nothing religious but more like one of the deeply-ingrained habits and have been piling up some bonneville salt took out from our van since 2007. a lucky charm!!

Nice to meet you at Bonneville. I was the guy with the old, orange BMW 2002. We left on Tuesday having beat our goal of 130+ with a top run of 130.763 mph. Glad to hear you set a personal record too.

Bikesport: jeff! it was very nice to meet you on the salt and congrats on your 130+!! orange bmw rules!! see you next year!
I probably won't be back with that car. 3 years on the salt has taken a toll. I might be back with a motorcycle though. Looking for a record to try and take. Maybe.

I probably won't be back with that car. 3 years on the salt has taken a toll. I might be back with a motorcycle if I can find a record that needs setting. The car needs to go back to road racing. Ha!

Bikesport: although we loved your car very much, it'll be super cool to see you race in a motorcycle!
