how to not be utterly envious of his skill...


m swang by and brought in these handmade pegs 
for shinya. it's an ultraprecision machining that shinya admires. thank you, m.

こういう人を 職人と言うのでしょうね。


m's been taking classes to get more skills
and he said he'll have an exam on monday 
so we held him back and forced him 
to watch a movie with us. hehehe
hope you will pass the test m!

mくんまだまだ腕を上げるんだって言って専門学校で勉強中。
月曜日にテストがあるって言うから
軽く拉致って無理やり映画を観せてやった。勉強ばっかしちゃダメ!
 持つべきものは邪魔ばっかりする先輩、人生楽ありゃ苦もあるさっと。

Those pegs are really nice! Beautiful work!

Those pegs are nice indeed. It can be most difficult to form the proper knurl. Many times the tool wants to double track or spiral.
Also the depth of the knurl is perfect. The wheel should just "kiss" the center of the diamond; as shown by the exapmle.

Shinya&Ayu: Thanks for the all the candy and caffeine, and for the movie. I had nightmares that night about a Japanese man knocking on my door. Lesson learned.
My test is on the 16th, so I still have time to study. See you guys after that.
