the mother road...

our workshop happened to be located on route 66 so when we go east we often times take the mother road instead of freeway　because it's a lot more fun just to see historical buildings, shops and signs kept alongside the road.

チャボは偶然にもルート66沿いにあるので、チャボよりも東方面へ向かう用事がある時は高速道路ではなくルート66を使うことが多い。古い看板や建物が残っていたり、昔からやっているお店があったりして退屈しないから。

tonight on the way back from the east we saw many old cars gathering at the local burger shop so we stopped by. was nothing special, more laid-back, just like the good old days.

本日東に用事があってその帰り、バーガースタンドの駐車場に旧いクルマが集まっていたので覗いてみた。こうやって年がら年中ローカルのゆる～い感じのカーショウやクルーズナイトがまったりとした雰囲気の中で催されていて、マザーロードを賑やかしている。
