big 3 on sunday, road trip with the belair...

guys were diggin' tools again.

スワップミート2日目。またまたツールを漁る3人。

we saw car guy W on the passenger's seat in this belair wagon talking with the owner.

おや？Wタナベ氏がこの味のあるベルエア・ワゴンの助手席に座ってオーナーらしき人と話し込んでいますが？
 

 happy W, the deal was done!

満面の笑みでついつい・・・

which meant that he had to drive it back to azusa. (from san diego, about 110miles / 177km)

サンディエゴからアズサまでの177kmの距離を乗って帰ることに。

 

well, according to the former owner, the wagaon was not in a perfect condition but in a reasonable running condition. W is an expert car guy and he has got shinya and niimie here with him so they can manage most of the things unless something so unbelievable occurs to the car.

ま、Wタナベ氏はプロですし、木村氏とN美氏という最強コンビが付いて居ますから、よほどのことがない限りはどうにかチャボまではたどり着ける・・・かも。前のオーナーによれば一応走るクルマらしいですし。うーん、それにしてもいきなりフリーウェイで177キロの旅ってのはどうかと思いますけど。面倒なので、途中でまいちゃおっと。
 

W feeling a pang of regret.

急に後悔の念にかられるWタナベ氏。

W took niimie with him as a hostage to prevent us from leaving him behind :D

私達がまいたりしないように、N美氏を人質に取るWタナベ氏。セコイ。

it stopped even before we got to the local gas station. but W somehow managed to take it to the gas station and　checked the oil and water. then, he realized that the rear tyres were extremely worn out when he tried to put some air in the tyres.

近くのガス・ステーションにたどり着く前に早くも車を止めるWタナベ氏と人質N美氏。笑っちゃうような様々な問題点が浮上するも、そこはプロ、何とか応急処置を施しガスステーションへ。オイルや水をチェックし、空気を入れようとタイヤをチェックすると、リア・タイヤが「もうダメ無理・・・」な状態だということに気が付く。

so we headed to the local tyre place to replace them　to the new ones.

ということで、近所のタイヤ屋へ。新品タイヤゲット！

and we barely made it!!
