early-morning treat...

today was Mr.Ouch!'s last day in azusa so we decided to go for a morning ride. after 3 minutes or so of riding, we all regreted about it because it was hazy and freezing cold.

本日アズサ最後のOウチ氏をアズサ流におもてなしするには・・・山での朝練しかありません。しかし、走り出して3分くらいで大後悔する一行。今にも降り出しそうな雲行きに、霧のようなモヤモヤ、そして急に冬になったかのような極寒。きっと標高が上がればもっと寒いだろうな、引き返したいな、という気分でいっぱい。

glad that we didn't turn around and went back because at the top of the GMR there was a clear blue sky and the sun was shining. our workshop was under that layer of dense clouds.

しかしながら根性で引き返すことなく山脈コースの頂上まで来ると、青空とお日様でポカポカ天気。ああ、来て良かった。チャボは下の方に見える厚い雲の下。

さて、チャボに戻りまして初代1915インディアンのエンジンに取り掛かるN美氏。

in the meanwhile, a beautiful yamaha XS650 was delivered.

そうこうしている内に、新車かと見紛うほどのナイスなヤマハのXS650が届きました。

nah, it's neither for us nor niimie. it's for niimie's friend in japan. something in this good condition is always for somebody else.

N美氏の2台目のXSなのか？いえいえ、これはN美氏のお知り合いの方に頼まれたもの。いつだってこういったグレートなコンディションのオードバイは他の人のものなんだよなあ。たいそう羨むN美氏。
