 yup, another crazy rain.

降る、降る。本当によく降る。

本日もZ1。

 making the gasket for the fuel tank cap.

燃料タンクのキャップのガスケットを作り中。

 polished the top of the filler neck.

キャップの周りを磨いてみた。

now shinya's buffing mode switch is on. started to polish the massive fuel tank. 

ということでバフ掛けのスイッチが入ってしまった木村氏。燃料タンクのバフ掛けの始まり。うーん、タンク大きいなあ。

 70 minutes later...

約70分後。泣ける。

 drench with sweat in freezing workshop.

めちゃくちゃ寒い工場で汗だく。泣ける。

 probably after 100 minutes or so.

計ってないけど100分後とか。泣ける。

finished the first round and see how it looks.

第一ラウンド終了。どんな感じか見てみる。

no matter how tough it is, how long it takes, how dirty he gets and even if he knows that he may not keep it polished, shinya always chooses to go through this process. it's ritual. he polishes by himself just to feel and see the shapes that he made by cutting, hammering, welding, and grinding a sheet of metal. 

どれだけ大変でどんなに時間が掛かっても、そして、最終的に光らせるの止めたり塗装するかもしれなくても、絶対にこのバフ掛け作業を自分でやる木村氏。切ったり貼ったり叩いて曲げたり削ったり。一枚の金属の板から立体的な形になったものを自分の手で磨くと、形を手で感じることが出来るし流れがはっきり見えて全体もしっかり見えて、とにかく自分にとってとても大切な作業なんだって。全身ヘトヘトで顔真っ黒になるけどー。
