近所のおっちゃんGは無事にSRでオートバイの実技テストをパスし、ストリートで乗る計画の自分のKTMを見せに来た。これからダウンタウンに向かおうとシャッターを閉めようという時に。そして木村氏にKTMに乗れ乗れとうるさい。もちろん乗る木村氏。

didn't take much photos during the event but the show was great success and had another fun day. now it's time to loading out.

インスピレーションは大盛況で、たくさんの友人に会い新しい出会いも山盛りでしたが会場であまり写真を撮っていなかった・・・ので、もう撤収。

afterward, we swung by L and S's wedding party at Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo. we've told them that we could not make it but since we were in DTLA we just wanted to congratulate them in person, ended up pressing ourselves to the museum glass wall peeping inside, L found us and led us in. a beautiful couple. so happy for them.

実は今晩友人のウェディング・パーティーがダウンタウンの日系人博物館であった。間に合いそうにないので出席できない、と伝えてあったけれどせっかくダウンタウンにいるので前を通ってみることに。で、外の窓ガラスに張り付いて中を覗いていたら、友人Lと目が合っちゃって・・・中に入れてもらう。ステキなパーティーで、直接お祝いが言えて本当に良かった。おめでとう、L&S！！

our neighbor G is taking our SR500 to take his motorcycle driving test :)　we told him that it's kick only and he said "duh! i had two of them!"

近所のおっちゃんGがオートバイの免許を取るからSRで試験を受けさせてくれと借りにやって来た。SRキックだけど・・・と言ったら、「知ってるよ、2台持ってたんだ！」と一喝された。

G was a pro rider when he was young but hasn't ridden for a while. he sees us on our motorbikes passing by his shop all the time and decided to get his license once again and ride again.

おっちゃんGは昔はレーサーだったし、オートバイを乗りまくっていたらしい。最近しばらくは免許も切れて乗っていなかったけど、おっちゃんの店の横を我々が年がら年中オートバイで通るのを見てまた乗りたくなったので、免許を再び取るらしい。何か嬉しい。

in downtown LA at The Reef. Mr. Sunny and Mr. KK came from Japan for "inspiration" show to promote Dehen and Wesco boots. our 1915 indian will be at their booth.

ダウンタウンLAのザ・リーフにて、1915年のインディアンを搬入するOカモト氏とKワキタ氏。今年も"inspiration"ショーで、お世話になっているWescoとDehenのブースにチャボのオートバイを展示させてもらいます。

polished tank creates a totally different feel. shinya always polish the big parts once to see the shapes and imagine some color ideas.

磨くとガラリと印象が変わる。形を眺めたり色をどうするか考えるために、とにかく一度磨くのが習慣となっている木村氏。

そして、すーっとご自分のXTに移行。うまい！

しかし、いつの間にか本業にたどり着いていた。

no, he's not going to work on his XT. he's just moving it to duck out of view.

ま、まさかXTをいじり出すんじゃないかと思いきや、視界に入らないように動かしているだけのようです。
