They come from the Arcadia Arboretum. The birds were originally imported from India by Elias Baldwin, the City of Arcadia founder, at the turn of the century. They've reproduce and now roam free in and around the Arboretum.
You're not allow to pet or feed them though, there's a huge fine if the police catch you.
REALLY? i grew up in arcadia and my dad feed them for years...my mom made him stop because they would be so loud and leave giant surprises on our car windows!
