Granted, the caliper and rotor he has mounted on there is way larger and grippier than most rear brakes but I have to ask if you're going to go that far for stopping would a newer style radial mount be better?

I get that there's a good chance that the 6-pot was probably readily available too which is alwasy a factor :-)
