because of the miraculous performance that niimie and the indian showed us yesterday, shinya had never been ready.

昨日のN美氏とインディアンのミラクルによって、俄然やる気モードの木村氏・・・

but the tricky part of today's stage is that they all have to ride nearly 300 miles by 4:00pm to catch the ferry to cross lake michigan. shinya could leave as early as 6:55am which means that he has to ride 300 miles in 9 hours without any mechanical problems. it sounds a lot of time, but for the 1915 indian and lots of gas stops it requires, we calculated that it's not so realistic that he can make it. but you'll never know until you try, so shinya will do his best as usual :) wish him luck!

しかしながら本日の厄介なパートは、フェリーに乗ってミッシガン湖を渡るため、午後4時までに480キロを走って乗り場までたどり着かなければならない、というもの。朝の6時55分に出発して9時間、何の問題もなしで最低限の給油で行ったとしても、1915年のインディアンではどう計算しても着かない訳です。もしフェリーに乗り遅れたら湖を回って大都会シカゴを通り抜けてミルウォーキーまで着かなければならない、というこれまた現実離れした話。しかし、やれるだけやらねば・・・間に合いそうにない場合はスイープカーにバイク共々乗ってとりあえずゴールするしかない、そんな過酷なレースです、今回のキャノンボールは。
