pentatomoidea forever...

ok, it's after midnight and it's shinya time. he really wanted to take a closer look at his new CB450 engine.

oh, it's alright. it doesn't look like it but he is having a great time ;P

now you can tell he's having fun :)

the pistons were stuck and couldn't pull out the cylinder...

forcibly pushed it out...please do not attempt :D

shinya said it was not that bad as he had expected...especially the bottom end. so, we can ride it soon!

oh, a stink bug came out...

 you are free now.

@ 4am...that about does it for today :)

Hopefully the rod and crank bearings are good. With 450's there is always the chance that a previous owner let the oil get polluted with gas, by not shutting the petcock and parking on the kickstand. My CL is waiting for a crank or crank re-build because of that. My Black Bomber is fine though. It just has a shifter problem. Burning that midnight oil...

do you two listen to music on these late nights?

Hairy Larry: seems like they are OK. you got a CL and a black bomber? gee, you guys are so much alike!

casey him: we usually do have background music but we're not necessarily listening to them. it's like air.

Yeah, I got a few Hondas...and a few Triumphs, a few BSA's, A couple Norton's....and way too many others to list here...Haha! Oh yeah, I'm 10 years older than Shinya, but looks like he's catching up! He's definitely got me beat with runners.

Well, I'm glad to see Shinya respects his 'elders'...Hahaha.
Shinya is my inspiration to get back to my old Hondas.
Like Shinya being a kid around a shop, I too was a kid around my uncle's body shop when my family was stationed in Japan in the late 50's. My first memories of cars, Oxy-acetelene torches and body hammers and dollies were from those days...
