our fellow cannonballer alreday asked to use our welder.

すでに我々に溶接機を借りに来たチームが。ステージ１の過酷さが浮き彫りに。

you cannot keep your 100+ years old motorbikes going for 200+ miles every day for 16 days without giving them TLC nightly.

100歳以上のオートバイを16日間毎日320km走らせるためには毎やのメンテが本当に大切。もちろんどこか壊れたり弱ったりした部分の修理も。

今回は全員100歳以上のオートバイでのエントリーなので、ピットに熱気が。我々だけではなく、みーんな明日も走るためにガサゴソ準備中。　1914年のハーレー。

チーム８０のインディアン、すべていい感じ。丁寧にメンテして、準備万端と思いきや・・・

luckily we found that the front exhaust valve guide was distorted because of the heat from so many traffic lights and congestion on the course in New Jersey today. if you miss these small changes or problems, it may cause a major problem later.

ラッキーなことに偶然エギゾーストのヴァルヴ・ガイドが変形しているのを発見。本日のコース、信号の多さと交通渋滞でかなりのエンジンが熱くなってしまったために起こったと思われる。過酷さが浮き彫りに。さっそく修理。こういうのを見逃すと後に大打撃になる。

 now our Indian is ready for tomorrow.

これで、明日の準備も整った。
