something turned shinya's cannonball switch on... he said he was not just giving a TLC to the Indian, whatever he's doing is the things he gotta do in prep for the Cannonball.

なんだか急にキャノンボールのスイッチが入っちゃったみたい。「ただ愛でてるだけじゃない、どれもこれもキャノンボールに備えてやっておかねばならないことばかりなんだから」本人談。

our neighbor T says his 1917 JD is nearly done and brought it to our workshop. he's going to participate in Cannonball for the first time.

今年初めてキャノンボールに出場する近くに住むTが、もうちょっとで完成だ！と1917年のJDを見せにやって来た。

 T wanted to shinya to try it 😊

木村氏にどうしても乗ってもらいたいんだって。

it sounds super healthy　and much more stable than our Indian.

そそくさと乗る木村氏。我々のインディアンに比べてもう全然しっかりしている。

it some how hasn't quite hit me yet but this is the Cannonball year. it will be our 5th round challenge but it doesn't matter for shinya and Niimi. it is always a fresh challenge for them.

今回はなんだか実感がまだ沸かない、なんでだろ？しかし、今年は間違いなくキャノンボールの年。チーム80番にとっては5回目、我々の1915年インディアンも5度目の大陸横断。でも、木村氏とN美氏にとっては毎回新しいチャレンジ、しっかり準備せねば。この光景、やっぱりいいな。

our land speed racing mate Sam is here to show his aggressive new carb for his land speed racer Miata.

ランドスピードのレース仲間Sム氏が今年のスピードウィークに備えて新調するキャブを見せに寄ってくれた。

Sam said he was inspired by watching Wata (Taka) testing  on the dry lake and he, too, wanted to start prepping for the SpeedWeek.

この間のWタナベ氏のドライレイクでのテスト走行に刺激を受けたらしくて、ムズムズ準備を始めちゃったみたい。
