same o' same o' 😺 dry lake with the squad.  just because it's fun, we've been trail riding and practicing flat track in the desert with Kiyo and Kat. there's no particular reason but we feel like we are teens again.

またまたいつもの変の態メンバーでドライレークでコソ練。何にコソコソしているのかも分からないし、特に何の意味もない。ただ楽しいからっていう小学生の時に友達と遊んでいるような感覚で、お弁当持ってせっせと砂漠に通う熟年ピーポー。意味もなく楽しいこと、オトナになるとやらなくなっちゃうのはなぜかしら？　やってるけど

ちょっとレアなメンバーでトレイル遊びしにドライレイクに来た。

we had so much fun. maybe too much fun...

got on the lake bed just in time for the sunrise but the sky was covered with heavy clouds. 

ちょうど日の出の頃にドライレイクに到着。残念ながら雲が厚くて太陽が見えず、さぶい。

our land speed racemates S-san and T-san came to support Wata (Taka) too.

最高速レース仲間のSム氏とTイチ氏もWタナベ氏の応援に駆けつけてくれた。

marked 151 mph! not bad, not bad at all!

242kmhをマーク！今日もお祝いだ！

and back to Azusa.

そしてさっさとアズサに戻る。

再びドライ・レイクに戻って来ちゃった。

this time with Kiyo and Kat of Kiyo's Garage ♥

今回はKiyo's GarageのKヨ氏とKットさんと新年会オン・ザ・レイク、という名目で。

we rode ourselves into the ground 😸 and that's why i couldn't take much photos... anyway, we had such a great time with great peeps in the dirt.

へとへとになるまで乗って遊んだ。ほとんどそれぞれが勝手に乗り回していたんだけど、（それで写真がぜんぜんない）なぜか楽しい黒猫ライダース😸　新たなる目標に向かって今年も楽しむぞ！

今年最後の日は早起きして日の出前にドライ・レイクへ。雲が低くて太陽が中々出てこない。空気がきーんと冷たい。

2017 was exciting and fun year for us, racing, riding, spending quality time with great people. but we were tormented by some deep sorrow at the same time because we lost very important people in our lives. so we decided to wrap up our 2017 having fun riding on the lake bed with them in our hearts 😊 and getting ready to welcome the new year with calm and serene minds in the nature. 

thank you for your support, checking this desultory blog occasionally. much peace, love and joy to you all in 2018.

2017年、一緒にレースにのめり込んだり、純粋に思いっきり遊べる仲間との絆が深まったとてもエキサイティングで楽しい1年だった。特別な出会いもあった。と同時に、我々の人生に多大なる影響を与えてくれた大切な2人の友を失い、深い悲しみに打ちひしがれた年でもある。そんな1年の最後の日は大好きなこの場所で、先に旅立ってしまったすべての愛する人たちと一緒にオートバイに乗って楽しもう。そして、大自然の中で心穏やかに新しい年を迎える準備をしよう。

今でもこの遅れがちな🐢マイペースブログを覗いてくださっている皆さま（がいらっしゃるとしたら）、本当にありがとうございます。これからものんびりですが続けていくつもりですので、お時間がある時たま～に覗いていただけたら嬉しいです。2018年も素晴らしい年になりますよう。良いお年をお迎えください。

maybe because it was right before SpeedWeek and a heat wave, there were only few participants today. so line would move quickly.

ボンネビル前はいつも参加者が少ないエルミラージ。さらに熱波の予報が出ていたのでいつもの1/3くらいしかレーサーがいない。待ち時間が短そうだな。

all racers / crews give a hand if other racers / crews need it.

チームメイトが手を貸してくれと言ってきた。でも、あっという間にチーム関係なくみんなが集まって助け合う。この雰囲気がとても好き。

一走目は様子見で。

though i really do wish him to go fast and break record, reuniting with him on the return road after each run is the most significant moment for me even he didn't break record.

速く走ってレコードを出して欲しいと願っているのは事実ですが、毎回リターンロードで無事な姿を確認すると、もうそんなことはどうでもいいやと思うくらいに嬉しい。不思議。これはたぶんクルーあるある。

he wasn't so happy about the result but i was happy to see him there all in one piece :D

結果を聞いてちょっとふて腐れている木村氏。でもさ、空いてるからもう一本走れそうだし、気を取り直して！

そして3走目。

114 mph, 112 mph, 115 mph. result wasn't so great but he got the positive feedback and have a high hope for the SpeedWeek now.

結果は3本走って182.4km, 180.8km, 184km とイマイチだったけど手ごたえアリ。ボンネビルに向けて期待出来そう！

the impound area was pretty busy today because lots of qualified records were born.

今日はたくさんレコードが出たらしい。インパウンドは大忙し。

spotted Go of Brat Style Long Beach with his new creation Indian Sport Scout that he built for his client. they will be participating in SpeedWeek and he was here for the pre-inspection.

そんなレコード・ブレーカー達に混じってブラット・スタイルのGTカミネ氏とMスミ嬢を発見。ボンネビル用のインディアン・スポートスカウトを車検官にチェックしてもらいに来ていた。麦わらーず。

 and testing. this is a mean machine! can't wait to see it run on the salt flats!

そしてテスト走行。これはかなりのワル。速い。塩の上で走る姿を見るのが楽しみ！
