stage 14. starting early because we are getting into the pacific timezone from mountain timezone. the west coast is calling.

山岳時間帯からいよいよ太平洋時間帯へ突入のため、時差の調整でまだ暗い内からスタートの準備なステージ14。

チャボバンも本日のゴールに急ぐ。トラックからオニオンが飛んできてびっくり。

sometimes the support vehicles have to take the same route as cannonball racers. and we saw niimie and the indian in the canyon.

どうしても代わりの道がない時は、サポートカーもレース車両と同じルートを通る。と、アイダホの峠で見慣れた姿が！

#57 G and L on 1930 indian chief with a indina princess sidecar. and boy, they weren't cruising, they were shifting their weight effectively and intrepidly riding over the canyon. we were profoundly affected by their spirits.

1930年のインディアン・チーフにプリンセス・サイドカーをつけて奥さんと一緒にキャノンボールに参戦しているチーム＃57。淡々と走っているのかと思いきや、果敢に峠を攻めている先輩夫妻を目の当たりにして涙が出た。かっこいい。スピードの話ではなく、峠は攻める。そういう気持ちをいつまでも持ち続けていたいなあ、と思った。

i can't believe i didn't take a photo but we met a beautiful family from Moscow, Idaho who have been following our blog. it was a pleasure meeting you all :)

いつもブログを見てくれているという近くの町に住む家族に出会ったのに、写真撮り忘れ。

what a relief! so so glad to see niimie and the indian at the finish. especially with the new piston. very proud of them.

新しくしたピストンだし、いつも以上に待っているのがドキドキだったけど、こうしてゴールでN美氏とインディアンを迎えると嬉しさと誇らしさでいっぱいになる。チーム80最高！
