it has been said that knowledge without practice
makes but half an artist, right?
okay, enough of book reading. let's practice!
知識ばかりで実践しないのは半人前と言いますね。
はい、本読みの後は実践でございます。

Hey, Shinya! There are different cutting bits for threading. The one your using is too fat and won't penetrate into the material enough. (or maybe you're just testing the powerdrive?) Love you guys, and miss you, too.
malcolm: hey, Malcolm, just come and make these for me! we miss you more!!
Rockford: thank you. i learn a lot from you.
thats some smart advice there...ok im inspired to learn about cutting threads....im gonna give it a go..
Hi Shinya. That tool will work, for large diameter coarse threads. Like Malcolm said, you can get a nice thread cutting tool with a sharp point that will work better on those small threads. Large tools typically have a nose radius that is too big for small threads. Set the compound at 29 degrees and feed in diagonally with each cut, say .005" or .010" per pass.
I have some books and articles on my site that describe how to cut threads. Take a look: www.occhiolungo.wordpress.com
Ciao,
Pete
