because this great photographer I-san
was here with us and taught me about the camera
all night long and suggested me to use
the old lens. shinya took out the lens from
his father's old camera and letting me use it.

Which Nikon are you shooting with?
I'm currently working with a D40X and I use some old lenses quite a bit. It's a much more natural kind of feeling. Though I think my next purchase will be a Canon...
I-san is very right: old lenses are great. I used an old Russian standard lens on my DSLR for a series of photographs of a workshop over on Flickr:

I just love the shallow depth of field and crisp detail you can get. New plastic lenses don't do it for me.
Paul.
Igloo: D50...need a little bit better body. i like pentax but at my level of skill it doesn't matter what i shoot with. i just need more experience and a good eye.
Coresect: NICE!!love those workshop photos. i totally agree.
