came to an airport in Mojave Desert for the photo/video sesh for Yamaha Europe. shinya has quietly finished the project menudo bike (we've been calling it menudo temporarily) and brought it here for the shoot but i can not share/post the images of it just yet. so, here is a picture of the airport. how brilliant ;p
本日はモハーヴィ砂漠にある小さな空港にて。勝手にメヌードと呼んでいる例のオートバイはひっそりと完成し、欧州ヤマハの写真・動画撮影に使っていただけるというので連れて来ている。しかしメヌードの姿はまだここではお見せできないので、空港の写真でも。つまらないですな。

our good friend and great photographer Kristina was getting ready for the photo shoot. she participates in sidecar racing as a passenger so shooting from the back of the car with a hatchback door open was a piece of cake for her :)
偶然友達のKTが今回の撮影の写真担当でスペインから来ていた。KT、とてもステキな写真を撮るし久しぶりに会えて嬉し。彼女は写真家なんだけどサイドカーのレースをしていてサイドカーの方担当。なのでハッチバックのドア開けっ放しで走りながら写真を撮るなんてお茶の子さいさい。一度でいいからやってみたいな、サイドカーの方。動き激しいよね。

午後からは場所を移して、空港近くの飛行機の墓場へ。
looking at these made me think of various things. it's hard to believe that these heavy object can fly.
色々と考えさせられる光景ですな。そもそもこんな大きな物体が空を飛ぶこと自体マユツバもの。

急に睡魔に襲われる木村氏。
the racer Thad Wolff (who was an exclusive mechanic for the shooting)let shinya sign his name on the door. shinya found many names of powerhouse racers like Kenny Roberts, Dick Mann and he mumbled "i should not put my name here with them! my hand is shaking!!"
メカニックとして今回の撮影に参加していた元スーパーバイクのレーサーWolff氏が、ご自分のバンのドアにサインをしろと木村氏にペンを渡す。出会った人のサインを思い出に集めているんだろうと軽い気持ちでいたら、そうそうたる歴代レーサー達の名前ばかりで（ケニー・ロバーツとかディック・マンとか）「うわぁ、こんなとこに俺の名前書いちゃっていいのかな？手が震える！」とビビり出す木村氏。にしては似顔絵を添えたりする度胸。
at the end of the long day, shinya shrank :) it was a humongous drive chain.
長い一日の終わりには小人になってしまった木村氏。こんなに大きなドライブ・チェーン見たことない。
