heard this heartbreaking news this morning and took out "le petit prince" by Antoine De Saint-Exupery and reading it over and over again. just to calm myself.
no more pain, no more suffering and now he can ride his motorbike as much as he wants so we must send him off with dash and spirit.
but we miss him so darn much!

今朝、胸が張り裂けるようなニュースを聞いて、
星の王子様を何度も読み返している。落ちつかなければならない。
痛みや苦しみとお別れできて、これから毎日バイクに乗れるんだから、本当は威勢よく見送ってあげなきゃいけない。
でも寂しいなあ。寂しくて仕方ないなあ。

Being on the East coast, I never met Matt, I've had only one e-mail exchange with him. And loved the magazine. It is sad news.
