our SDRC clubmate Shingo Saeki and team Blue Thunders from Japan started to set their pit right next to us.

同じカークラブのSンゴSエキ氏と凄腕チューナーのチーム・ブルーサンダーズが日本から到着。

never tire of gazing upon this view. the rider, tuner, support crews... they all gather the ability to accomplish the same goal, to go fast.

大勢いても全員が同じ目的のために同じ方向を向いていて、いつみても気持ち良い。すべてはスピードのため。この大人達、かっこいい。

got in the line for tech and spotted Go of Brat Style and his crews along with their Indians.

車検の列に並ぶとちょうど前に最高速初参戦のブラット・スタイルのTカミネ氏とクルーの皆が並んでいた。

the Spike. passed tech inspection.

スパイク、車検パス。

Sam-san and the Miata were there!

Sushi, Go, and their Indians passed tech inspection no problem as well.

いっぽうWタナベ氏は車検の前にもう少しだけ作業が必要な模様。

since the salt flats is going to be closed at night, time is up for today.

夜は塩湖が閉まるので本日はここまで。

it became an annual event for us to check out the Wendover Nugget. for Wata and Bucho, it was first time and they were overwhelmed by the atmosphere.

ウェンドーヴァーの町に繰り出す。毎年ナゲットのカーショウを覗くのが楽しみになっている。なんともいえないまったりとしたスピードウィーク独特の雰囲気に、初めてのWタナベ氏とBチョーもワクワクが止まらない感じだった。

Wata is proceeding some work in the dark for tomorrow. hopefully he will be ready and get the tech inspection done tomorrow. by the way, we are pack of lazy people. didn't go to camp site, didn't even set up a tent. we just parked at the gas station and slept in the van and the truck :D

暗がりで明日のために作業を進めるWタナベ氏。明日は車検受けられるといいな。面倒くさがりの我々はキャンプ場にも行かずテントも張らず、ガスステーションの駐車場に止めたバンとトラックでそのままバタンキュー。星が美しい。流れ星たくさん見た。極楽。
